Where do we start? How do we maintain while also starting to rebuild during this crazy time? These are questions I have been asking myself over the last few weeks.
My comfort? Knowing that I am not in this alone. How did you feel when you had to close the doors on your business? I wanted to throw up. My heart sank. I was fearful and maybe I still am. Things are unknown.
I just hate knowing that so many of us are feeling this way.
My focus with this extra time is to figure out how to move the needle everyday even though I am stuck at home unable to work. So These are the 5 things I am doing to keep my business alive during Covid-19.
No clients means no new pictures for Instagram. Gah!! That alone stresses me out! Crazy.
Anyway, so how are we generating new content?
My plan over the next few weeks is to dig deep into the archive.
1. Do a montage of old photos from years ago. Track my progress since starting Instagram.
2. I plan on doing few videos of me doing my own nails. There are new trends out there that I would like to try that I haven’t had the time to dabble in lately.
3. I am going to write more blog posts and promote them on my social.
4. I also plan on being honest and reporting my struggles, triumphs, ideas and epiphanies over this time.
5. If the budget allows I will continue to buy new collections and post my reviews.
I believe that if I continue to do these things along with a few other snip-bits here and there I can still create a social interest on my page and within my community.
We are at a halt. But our passions are not. I still live and breathe for gel nails and this situation we are in doesn’t change that. I still want to help people and nothing will change that. I would love to know the measures you are wanting to take to help keep your business alive. I think that any advice and motivation is necessary and we need to share it and promote it.
I have people message me every day and tell me how much they miss their nails. Sending me pictures of broken nails or just sad nails in general. This breaks my heart. When we pride ourselves on perfection and making our clients feel the same, it is so hard to watch their nails fall apart.
I know the magic that a new set of nails can bring to someones life. It raises our confidence, makes us feel better, lets us vent with girlfriends, lets us take a break from the madness. Man, Lol I might write an entire article on that one alone.
Somewhere inside me I feel I have this responsibility to not give up. When the lights come back on and all this is over, I don’t want to start from scratch. I want to keep moving the needle every day.
I hope we can motivate each other. I’m searching and scouring the Internet for motivation right now. As I write this, I try to inspire myself and hold myself accountable. I need to.
Please comment below and tell me how you are keeping your business alive during covid-19. Let’s rally and inspire each other as we navigate our way through this.
Love breeds love.
